The material is shot in New York. The cuts are defined by the rhythm of the correspondence between Karl Jaspers and Hannah Arendt (400 letters mainly between New York and Basel in 1945-1969: one day Ц 0,1sec.

There are 10 chapters, their length corresponds to the intervals between the meetings during Hannah Arendt visits to Europe.

For feeling the rhythm of this intensive correspondence the day when a letter arrives is marked by a recognisable picture of NY Ц like a skyline or a bridge.

In this way New York will be recognizable only in the moment of communication Ц one of the central terms of the existence philosophy of Jaspers and Arendt
